The New Maruti Suzuki Swift 2011 will be launched in India later; its international launch is scheduled for the Paris Motor Show in October 2010. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift has a 1.2-litre petrol engine which is equipped with Dual VVT (Variable intake and exhaust valve timing) and produces 94PS at 6,000rpm. The improved torque is developed to 118Nm at 4,800rpm. The model is also available in D13A 1.3-litre diesel engine. Recently, company is selling the fifth generation of Suzuki Swift Model in the international market since 2004.

The fifth generation is powered by 1.3L, 1.5L or 1.6L four-cylinder engines and comes as three-door and five-door variant in the international market. This model produces 125 bhp and 148 nm of torque with 1.6L engine. The front wheel drive option has been available as standard however some of the Japanese models also have four-wheel drive options. In Europe and Asia, the model is clearly successful and wholly missing in the US market.

The new Swift is 155mm taller than the current Swift 2010 which is a good improve to new length of 3850 mm compared to current length of 3696mm. By keeping less than 4 meter in length, it still helps to keep the New Swift in small car category in terms of tax rules.

The height of the new Swift is slightly lesser than the existing swift by 1510mm to 1530 mm. The wheelbase feature added to 2430 mm from 2390 mm for a better handling and performance. Because of new tail light design extending to the sides and a much more attractive rear, new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2011 looks much better than the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2010. Both side clear crystal lamps at front and rear make the car model beautiful.

The latest style steering with improved central console in the interiors included audio system, better interior space owing to the increased length of the car. Back passengers have a big leg space in the car. In comparison with rival cars of the same segment the quality of plastic is also expected to become better. Because of the new seat fabric and door trims, New Swift looks better than the current swift.

In India, the price for the New Maruti Swift has not been declared yet. It is expected the price of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift will be slightly higher than the current swift. It may be start around Rs. 5 Lakhs onwards.
