Yamaha YZF R15 is fully packed of state-of-the-art technologies; R15 boasts performance worthy of a super-sport model and a body design that brings to mind the image of the YZF-R series and provides a visual expression to the quality of its ride. Yamaha YZF R15 is the first sports bike of India, equipped with several new techniques like Liquid cooled engine. The displacement of Yamaha YZF R15 is just 149.8cc but it creates a super 17PS of maximum power and 15Nm of torque at 7500rpm.

India’s first, Yamaha R15 sport bike has 150cc 4 valve engine with forged pistons, Deltabox frame & 6speed gear box. The bike features make it like the most powerful bike under 200cc range and has a 6-speed Transmission. It has overall length 1995mm, overall width 670mm and its wheels base is 1290mm. As sporty YZF R15 is shorter too and its height is just 1070mm. The design of the bike is similar to that of YZF-R series. The bike features F 80/90 -17 inches tyres in the front and 100/80-17 inches tyres in the rear. Front and rear both the tyres of bike are tubeless.

The liquid cooled technology of Yamaha R15 gives stable performance, less vibrations and smooth ride. Also, this new engine is encircled by water jacket in which coolant liquid circulates to cool the engine. This system makes the weight of bike and to decrease this weight Yamaha did a fine job by using a compact and lightweight aluminum radiator. The bike has 6 speed return type transmission. Also, it is self started and is the first bike which has not sports centre stand.
