Today, 26 November 2009 is the first anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai Terrorist Attack. This day remind us that India’s financial capital Mumbai was overwhelmed by a handful of terrorists for 60 hours, leaving 166 people dead and many more injured, last year. On the eve of the first anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai Terrorist Attack, people will salute the brave defense officers who gave up their lives to save others and pay honor to the innocent victims, a number of candle light vigils and discussions will be held in Delhi.

A high level of security all over the city was mentioned by police, without taking any chance since Wednesday, 25 November 2009. Vehicles were stopped and checked by armed personnel at strategic points. Chowpatty, Haji Ali, Prabhadevi, Worli, Bandra, Jogeshwari, around the Mumbai airport, the three main exit points connecting the city including the locations which were targeted one year ago, these places were on especial tight security.

In the morning of 26 November 2009, India’s financial and entertainment capital showed rush hour with commuter trains and buses packed and roads as choked with traffic as ever. It gives message that they would not be discouraged by terror. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President Barack Obama stride up pressure on Pakistan by saying that it was very important to bring to justice the persons, who are responsible for the attacks, on the eve of the first anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai Terrorist Attack.
