The company Mahindra & Mahindra (which ruled the Indian streets with Scorpio) is on a roll that launched new Xylo with the punching lines “Happy Legs”. Mahindra & Mahindra Mini Xylo is small car that pulls 5 seater version of their popular MUV Xylo. This car was caught undergoing hot weather testing in the bone dry deserts of Rajasthan. M&M Mini Xylo 2011 will hit the showrooms by 2011 at very comparatively price around Rs 5 lakhs. To qualify for the tax redemption given to cars under 4 meters, the car will be a tad smaller than its sibling Xylo and powered by an engine under 1.5 L capacities. It has two rows of seats which will accommodate 5 adults. On frame construction of the Xylo, a smaller platform of the current body is made. The direct competition of this car is with SUV segment – Premier Rio.

M&M Mini Xylo 2011 will be introduced with an all new 3-cylinder diesel engine as a result of omission of one cylinder from the 2.5 CRDm-Eagle engine to conform to the regulations. Under the 1500cc bracket, the bore and stroke will be reduced in size to duck because of this the customer can save 12% of excise duty and an approximate price reduction of at least Rs 50,000. The length of the car would reduce to 4 meter from 4.2-metre and is 4520 mm long.
