Maruti Suzuki R3 car received good response from the viewers when Maruti Suzuki displayed its new R3 concept at the Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi. Maruti Suzuki R3 will be launched in mid of 2011 in India. The Indian engineers’ team has designed a compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) as R3 with feedback from consumers. Maruti Suzuki R3 has attractive styling and stunning looks. The new Maruti Concept R3 is designed on a central theme of ‘togetherness’. This compact car is an attractive mobility solution for big family traveling.

The latest Maruti Suzuki Concept R3 will be available with 1196cc engine and high torque of 101Nm@3000rpm and 73bhp of raw power at 6000 rpm. The R3 is a 6-passenger compact car with 3 rows of seats and rear-hinged rear doors with high head room. It is designed on a stretched version of the Suzuki SX4 platform.

The car will be powered by a K-series engine which exists in the modern cars of Maruti such as Ritz and new Waron R. It will come with a K12M engine which was showcased at Maruti Joys Of Life Pavilion. The K12M features includes 4 Cylinder / 4 valves per cylinder, DOHC, Max Power 85 BHP @ 6000 rpm, Max Torque 113 Nm @ 4500 rpm, Couples with 5 Speed Manual Transmission, Cable Shift Transmission with Dented Pin Technology (DPT), Dry Single Diaphragm type clutch.

This compact MPV R3′s price will be kept between Rs.6-8 lakh. Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Innova, Tata Sumo Grande, the upcoming Nissan MPV based on the V-Platform, Ford’s B-Max MPV based on the Figo’s platform and the probable Chevrolet Orlando, and other 6 seater cars will be competitor of Maruti Suzuki R3. The styling looks Concept R3 or R-III has attracted so many viewers at the Auto Expo 2010. Thus the impressed viewers are excitedly waiting for the launch to buy concept R3.

The interior parts of the car are very gorgeous and loaded with gadgets and gizmos giving it a futuristic look. Official details about R3 are not released yet.
