24 years old, Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford was arrested on June 4, 2010 in his hometown of Plano, Texas for possession of an unsmoked “joint” under the charge of “possessing less than 2 ounces of marijuana”. Crawford was arrested by Plano Police about 12:55 AM in the parking lot of Ringo’s Pub (located just north of Dallas) in the 5800 block of Kincaid Road in Plano.

Chace Crawford is popular for his role as Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl on The CW. He plays a role of drug dealer named White Mike in his upcoming film Twelve.

According to TMZ source, “Crawford was in a car with a friend when he was busted and cops found one unlit joint”. Actually Crawford was alone in his friend’s car when police approached and found him rolling a joint.

Crawford has been released on bond according to reports. Plano police told E! News, “He is not in custody,” “He already bailed out early this a.m.”

Those in possession of less than two ounces of marijuana can be imprisoned for a period of up to 180 days with a fine of $2,000 according to state laws.

During the year of 2002, Marijuana-related arrests accounted for nearly 5% of all arrests in the state. This percentage consists of 49,839 arrests for the possession of marijuana and 1,804 arrests for its sale.
