There is great news for the Bachchan family and fans of the beautiful Indian actress Aishwarya Rai as she is pregnant now. 1994 Miss World pageant and often been referred to as “the most beautiful woman in the world”, Aishwarya (37) and Abhishek Bachchan (35) are expecting this year their first baby. The news has been confirmed recently by none other than Pa-In-Law Amitabh Bachchan through his blog and twitter page.

Aishwarya’s last month visit at the 64th Cannes Film Festival and “Midnight in Paris” Premiere at Palais des Festivals had sparked fresh pregnancy rumors as she walked the red carpet in dresses with a belly covering flap and seemed curvier than her regular self. So the extra kilos that Aishwarya Rai gained were raising eyebrows amid the industry from some time.

Pregnancy rumors were also spread after her appearance on June 12 at the Prix de Diane Longines at Hippodrome de Chantilly in France at which she wore two piece dress – a loose top and she repeatedly covered her stomach with her hand.

Aishwarya and Abhishek, who tied the knot on April 20th 2007 in a private ceremony at the Bachchan house, ‘Prateeksha’ in Juhu, Mumbai, celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in this April. Aishwarya has a bun in the oven for real after several false baby bump reports over the years due to her ill fitting dresses or any other reason, although she has not personally confirmed about her pregnancy but her publicist confirmed the news and whispered there is nothing more to add other than what Amitabh told.

Amitabh shared his delight with his twitter fans on June 20 midnight saying that he is very happy and thrilled as he will become grandfather and further added the child of Abhishek and Aishwarya shall be the first Bachchan of the generation after his brother and him. Amitabh also said that he is already ‘Nana’ and now its time to become ‘Dada’. As soon as doctors confirmed on that day in evening, he shared instantly with the EF and on Twitter after informing all the family. Congratulations to the Bachchan family! Currently Aishwarya is filming for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, which rolled on June 7 on a 45 day start-to-finish agenda and scheduled to release in February 2012. She might not be seen on the silver screen for a long time as she has not signed any other film except ‘Heroine’.
