In India, Olive telecom is the first Indian company to launch an Android-based tablet called Olive Pad VT100. It has an eye-catching look with the 7-inch capacitive screen. The VT100 is a 3G tablet capable of voice and video calls, and runs 2.1 éclair. It runs on the Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.

The Olive Pad VT100 is certainly something called innovation creativity of Olive telecom which is launched in India. The tablet is capable of making video and voice calls on a 3G network with its CDMA capabilities. The network on the tablet is not exclusive and will be available to all players.

About the processor: The MSM7227 chipset features a 600 MHz applications processor with a floating point unit, 320 MHz application DSP, 400 MHz modem processor, hardware-accelerated 3D graphics, integrated Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS, 8 megapixel camera and 30 fps WVGA video encode and decode and display support.

Olive Telecom said in its launching party that Olivepad VT100 will really break all the records in the field of Phonebook. Olive Pad is said to be the first 3G Tablet look. It is a bit comparable to Chungwa of Taiwan. It is also running over the Android but it is not at all clear yet. Olivepad VT 100 is having the extra facility to call while usage.

The tablet also features a built-in three mega pixel camera and a VGA front camera, GPS and TV-out, (not sure if its HDMI). It has basically all the qualities of a smartphone and a media center device. A hands-on with the device will give us a better feel of the same.
