Central Silk Board (CSB) is national organization which was established as a statutory board under Government of India for the development of sericulture and silk industry. The main headquarter of the Central Silk Board is in Bangalore and was established in the year 1949. It creates greater opportunities for gainful employment and improved levels of income in sericulture through spread of scientific sericulture practices. Different types of the applications are issued for the following posts in the Central Silk Board.

1. Sr. Library & Information Assistant:

• No. Of Post: 1
• Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-
• Age: Max 30 Years
• Qualification: Candidates should have masters degree in any stream and should have computer knowledge with experience.

2. Assistant:

• No. Of Posts: 5
• Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-
• Age: Max 30 Years
• Qualification: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Commerce/ Arts / Bachelor of Law and and at least 5 years of office experience is required.

3. Assistant (Technical):

• No. Of Post: 1
• Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-
• Age: Max 30 Years
• Qualification: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in Entomology/ Zoology / Botany / Agriculture / Sericulture / Chemistry or an equivalent qualification .

4. Artist:

• No. Of Post: 1
• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
• Age: Max 30 Years
• Qualification: Candidate should have bachelors degree with Diploma in Commercial Arts.

5. Upper Division Clerk:

• No. Of Posts: 2
• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
• Age: Max 25 Years
• Qualification: Candidate should have bachelors degree in any stream and have passed Junior Grade Typewriting examination conducted by State Technical Education Board with a speed of 30 words per minute in English Typewriting.

6. Field Assistant:

• No. Of Posts: 72
• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-
• Age: Max 25 Years
• Qualification: Candidate should have Diploma in Sericulture or an equivalent qualification and experience is desirable.

7. Lower Division Clerk:

• No. Of Posts: 20
• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
• Age: Max 25 Years
• Qualification: Candidate should have passed Matriculation exam and Junior Grade Typewriting examination conducted by State Technical Education Board with a speed of
  30 words per minute in English Typewriting.

8. Assistant Technician:

• No. Of Posts: 14
• Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-
• Age: Max 25 Years
• Qualification: Candidate should have diploma or I. T. I. Certificate or equivalent in the field of Sericulture/ Agriculture / Horticulture.

Scientist– B:

• No. Of Posts: 2
• Pay Scale: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
• Age: Max 40 Years (Relaxable by 5 years for PWD Candidates)
• Qualification: Candidate should Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Zoology/Botany/ Entomology/Agriculture/Agronomy/Chemistry/ Sericulture wit at least 5 years of Research experience as evidenced by Research Publications in reputed journals.
